Varenita of Westlake is an innovative, new senior living community located in Westlake, California, at the intersection of Duesenberg Drive and Los Feliz Drive.
What is the size of the community?
The senior living community has a total of 86 apartments, including:
- 58 assisted living apartments ranging from 447-999 square feet
- 28 private suites, approximately 402 square feet, for residents with memory-related impairment
- Over 30,000 square feet of common use area
Are there a variety of floor plans to choose from?
The assisted living neighborhood at Varenita of Westlake features spacious and modern studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 447-999 square feet. These beautifully appointed apartments feature spacious living areas, large closets, washer/dryers and, in select units, complete and modern kitchens with cooktops. The 402 square-foot private suites for memory care in the Valeo™ neighborhood have private bathrooms and roll-in showers.

Varenita of Westlake offers these amenities and services with a one-time community fee. The community’s pricing is based on a monthly service fee, enabling residents to have more flexibility with their living options and finances. Simply put, Varenita of Westlake is senior living re-envisioned.

Who developed and built the community?
Varenita of Westlake is being developed and built by Griffin Living™. Griffin Living is a privately owned, family-run company that develops and operates senior living communities throughout the United States that meet the high expectations of seniors today. Its mission is to create communities that provide unparalleled service and care with thoughtfully designed living spaces and amenities specifically tailored to meet seniors’ needs and interests.
The company was founded by CEO and President Paul Griffin III, a fifth-generation homebuilder with over 40 years of experience creating and managing award-winning living and work environments. Mr. Griffin has used his vast experience to help make Griffin Living a leader in senior living.
Who manages the community?
Varenita of Westlake is managed by Solvere Living. Solvere Living LLC, based in St. Petersburg, FL, is providing the vision to bring a standard of excellence to Varenita and to meet and exceed the expectations of residents and families. Integrity, transparency and loyalty are the values that form the basis of the management philosophy.
The Solvere team includes highly credentialed executives with proven expertise in the areas of Operations Management, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Wellness and Development Services.
What is the fee?*
Varenita of Westlake offers you flexibility and control over your budget with an annual residency agreement versus a large buy-in fee. The community has a one-time community fee and a monthly service fee based on the residence type. The monthly fee for assisted living starts at $5,950 with five wellness options based on individual capabilities. All-inclusive memory care services start at $8,500 per month for a private suite.

A fully refundable, non-interest bearing $1,000 deposit will reserve an apartment while you complete the application process. Once you have completed the application process, you will convert your deposit into an apartment reservation for a specific apartment and begin the move-in process at Varenita of Westlake.
